Panasonic’s new PT-LB10 projector family consists of the wireless, 2000-lumens PT-LB10NTU; the 2000-lumens PT-LB10U unit and the 1600-lumens PT-LB10VU. These ultra-light units are easy to move between locations, from a boardroom to a classroom, from a church setting to a training center.
The PT-LB10 family packs powerful features in their notebook-size footprint. Epson America Inc. has announced the EPSON PowerLite Home 10+, an enhanced version of its popular PowerLite Home 10 entry-level home theater projector released last year. The new projector combines Epson's award-winning projection technology with a 16:9 full-screen display, newly modified contrast ratio, and increased brightness to provide an even better level of quality image.
The PowerLite Home 10+ has the same features as the original Home 10, but by modifying optical mechanics, Epson has increased the projector's brightness by 200 ANSI lumens to 1,200 ANSI lumens for a more brilliant picture in all viewing environments. The contrast ratio has also been increased 700:1 to achieve a maximum 800:1, producing sharper, more colorful images that are optimized for movie viewing.

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HWP) today announced it is extending its digital imaging expertise in printing, scanning and digital photography into the portable digital projector market by introducing two of the industry's brightest and lightest weight products.
The HP Digital Projectors xb31 and sb21 will be HP's first portable projector systems targeted to mobile users. The HP Digital Projector xb31 offers the industry's leading brightness in the three-pound class at 1,500 lumens. The HP Digital Projector sb21 is the lightest projector in the 1,000 lumens class, weighing only 2.2 pounds. Both projectors are expected to be available for purchase beginning April 15.
"Uniting our success in the printing and imaging market by printing to the screen, HP is taking its first step in becoming a leader in the portable digital projector market," said Vyomesh Joshi, president, HP Imaging and Printing Systems. The core of this digital projection technology is the DMD™-Chip (Digital Mirror Device) with many thousands of mirrors to reflect the light. Each mirror represents one pixel. The space between the pixels is as small as one hundredth of the thickness of a human hair. Therefore the images are projected without any visible line structure.
